5 Days Ngamba Island & Gorillas

The 5 Days Ngamba Island Chimpanzee and Gorillas is a detailed primate tour. The tour starts by connecting by boat to & from Ngamba Island on Lake Victoria, you will drive to the southern Uganda in the "Switzland of Africa" to meet with the giant gorillas.

Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe airport
Day 2: Transfer to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Day 3: Drive to Bwindi (southern Uganda)
Day 4: Gorilla Tracking
Day 5: Return to Kampala via Equator

Day 1: Arrive at airport
Our Guide/driver will be already waiting to pick you up from the airport and transfer you to booked hotel or lodge for the first night depending on your time of arrival to rest as you wait for your marvelous and memorable safari to all Uganda national parks for the adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary
following breakfast you will transfer to Entebbe to the pier from where you will transfer to Ngamba Island. This Island is a sanctuary for chimpanzees run by the Jane Goodall Institute. Normally these chimps are got from the wild and then taken care of here, particularly the infants who can’t take good care of themselves. You will arrive in time when they are being fed and then you will have the opportunity to observe them. Spend approximately one hour with them and after lunch you will return to the mainland in Entebbe.

Day 3: Drive to Bwindi
Your driver will pick you up from Boma hotel and then you will then drive to Bwindi in the south-western part of Uganda .passing through a memorable part of the country referred to as “the Switzerland of Africa”, Due to its physical appearance with hilly landscape, covered with cultivated terraces by the “bakiga people”, tropical rain forests and lakes (mostly craters) which is good for viewing. You will have a stopover on the way. Youwill then continue with your journey, reaching late in the afternoon spending you night at the booked lodge

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking:
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest favors both mountain gorillas and some chimpanzees one of the only forest in Africa which posses these creatures. It also hosts five other species of primate, 100 mammals, around 78 butterflies and 360 bird species.

In the early morning after your breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the starting point of your tracking group or UWA headquarters so that you can get a briefing at around (7.45am or 8.30am), then you will start the tracking. The gorillas that you track are very friendly to people, though still there are same groups which are shy, as human being there are those who are sharp and some are stubborn.  Your experienced ranger will help you to spot out their presence. You will be going through the bush, as are push your way through the undergrowth, parting thick creepers, to track the gorillas. Once you find the gorillas, you will be able to spend with them up to one hour which is given time, before going back to your lodge.

Note:  (This trek can take from half an hour to 5 hours depending on the area you track and group– a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes). Have your Dinner and overnight at:

Day 5: Return to Kampala via Equator
In the morning after enjoying your breakfast,you will then drive back to Kampala having a stopover at the Equator take photos shoots and buying souvenirs. You will be then taken to your guesthouse, lodge or hotel of your choice in Kampala or Entebbe and also we can drop you to the airport to catch your flight back to your home country.

This Tour is based on a Min-van with 4wd. it seats from up to the maximum of 8 persons. All our used vehicles are well maintained, customized with comfortable seats, a pop up roof which gives a wide viewing 360 angle!!

But in case you want an upgrade to a Land cruiser which is rated as the strongest safari vehicle on the African roads, it’s well maintained, customized with comfortable seats, a pop up roof which gives a wide viewing 360 angle!!. This come's with an extra cost, but it’s worth it. Just in inform us in advance

Accommodation & Transport – Mid-range

For this trip accommodation you will be staying in lodge which is built in African safari style tents, comfortably furnished with twin or double beds, a bedside table and a power outlet for charging your electrical equipment, with En-suit bathroom, hot running water and flushing toilets. No need to worry about linen as all bedding and towels are provided

NOTE: For this the above mentioned accommodation it depends on availability and we make sure the best is our first priorities when we are making this booking.
